Arsenal Home Kit 2016-17. So here it is, you know, the kit we all saw over the weekend thanks to leaked images of Arsenal’s first summer signing, Granit Xhaka. Now PUMA have officially revealed their third release of the club’s famous home colours for the 2016/17 season.
Arsenal Home Kit 2016-17. Arsenal fan’s will be happy to see something a little different from PUMA after two very solid, but very similar designs over the last two seasons. The new-look strip takes inspiration from players and moments that defined The Gunners throughout the 90’s; the golden age of Tony Adams, Emmanuel Petit, Ian Wright and Paul Merson. Designed with a red body, white sleeves with blue trim around the collar and arms, it also features a darker red line running through the middle of the shirt.
Features that will have old school Gooners purring include the retro looking collar design ― a noticeable take from the 1992-1994 home kit. PUMA’s T7 Form Stripe runs along each sleeve and a dropped tail and longer sleeves with cuffs give this shirt a refined look. Rounding off the design, the printed front graphic provides a modern approach and the heat transfer gothic “A”, inspired by the gothic font that featured on the club’s crest in the past, is the official sign-off on the back neck area.
Looking beyond the design, the shirt comes with PUMA’s new apparel technology ACTV Thermo-R, strategically inserted in both the front and the back of the shirt to help players maintain an optimum body temperature. A unique phase-change material is injected into the shirts’ inner athletic tape, which allows microcapsules to absorb excess heat and release it back to the body when needed. The taping in the shirts provides an extra snug fit, micro-massaging the skin in specific areas to enable a faster, more effective energy supply to the active muscles.
Arsenal fans can order the shirt from Pro Soccer SA.
